GPU upgrades — mid-tower clearance

Most ATX mid-towers accept 300–380 mm long, 2.5–3 slot cards if PSU has adequate wattage and PCIe power.

Before you buy: measure clearance from the rear bracket to the front drive cage or radiator. Subtract 10–15 mm for cable bend. Check PSU label for 12V rail capacity — budget 200 W headroom above CPU+GPU combined draw for transient spikes.

Typical fit: RTX 4060/4070 (short cards ~240 mm) fit almost any tower. RTX 4080/4090 often need 330 mm+ and 3.5-slot thickness — verify case spec sheet.

Power: 8-pin PCIe common; high-end cards need 2×8-pin or 12VHPWR. Adapter cables are fine if PSU is rated for it.
